Tattoo Aftercare Your artist will cover your new tattoo in aftercare cream and some cling wrap upon finishing you tattoo

remove the cling wrap within the next 1-2 hours, followed by a gentle wash with warm water and cleaned with Antibacterial soap. make sure it is patted dry with a clean paper towel and the aftercare cream must be applied.

If you are not sure on the amount of aftercare cream to put on, take note of how much your artist applies before wrapping your tattoo.

Don't over cream your tattoo, this may hinder the healing and drying out process. A balance of these two is essential for perfect healing.

You should repeat this process for 1-2 weeks. Also try not to wear clothes that will stick to your tattoo and avoid swimming, saunas and direct sunlight for about 2-3 weeks. When your tattoo scabs, don’t worry, it’s normal. Remember to never pick, scratch, or peel it. you could get an infection or remove the colour. if you think your tattoo is infected, or isn’t healing properly, go see your doctor and notify your artist along with pictures. If you have pets- make sure your tattoo is kept away from them.

we stock AussieInked after care products in the studio so be sure to ask your tattooist after your session. These are sold at the front counter. check out the aftercare tab above for all details.
