Tooth Gem Aftercare Instructions

IMMEDIATE AFTERCARE: FIRST 24 HOURS
Avoid Eating or Drinking for 1 Hour:
Allow the adhesive to fully cure. Only sip water if necessary.Avoid Hard, Sticky, or Chewy Foods for 24 Hours:
Foods like chewing gum, toffee, hard lollies, nuts, or ice can dislodge the gem before the bond fully sets.Minimise Touching or Playing with the Gem:
Avoid running your tongue over the gem or playing with it, as this may loosen it during the critical bonding period. No Smoking or Vaping for 12–24 Hours:
This can affect the adhesive and overall bond strength.
ONGOING CARE: DAILY MAINTENANCE
Maintain Excellent Oral Hygiene:
-Brush gently around the gem using a soft-bristled toothbrush.-Avoid aggressive brushing directly on the gem.

WHAT CAN CAUSE A TOOTH GEM TO FALL OFF?
Tooth gems generally remain in place anywhere from 3 to 24 months. However, if your gem loosens or comes away within the first few days or weeks, several factors may be the cause:
Early Contact:
We know it’s exciting to have a new tooth gem, but touching or playing with it (with your tongue or fingers) within the first 24 hours can interfere with the adhesive setting properly. The bond requires a full 24 hours to reach maximum strength.Eating Solid Foods Too Soon:
Eating solid, hard, or sticky foods sooner than recommended can dislodge the gem during the crucial bonding period.Natural Rejection:
Like any foreign object, your body may naturally reject the tooth gem. In rare cases, this can cause the gem to fall off quite quickly despite proper aftercare.
COMPLIMENTARY REPLACEMENTS:
If your gem falls off within the first 14 days, we’re happy to offer a complimentary replacement to ensure you’re fully satisfied.
REMEMBER:
A tooth gem is purely cosmetic and does not harm your tooth enamel when applied and cared for properly. Following this aftercare guide will help ensure your gem stays looking beautiful for as long as possible.
